A 42 second Volkan Oezdemir knockout over Jimi Manuwa earns him a UFC title shot:

Volkan has some fire in those hands!
Our UFC 214 main card opener is a sizzling Light Heavyweight title eliminator between British knockout artist Jimi 'Posterboy' Manuwa, and Swiss superstar Volkan 'No Time' Oezdemir. Manuwa earned his place in this bout via a shocking knockout of Corey Anderson, while Oezdemir, currently undefeated in the UFC, decisioning Ovince Saint Preux before a 28 second stoppage over Canadian grappler Misha Cirkunov. Don't expect the judges to have much say in this one.

Jason Herzog was given this assignment in our opening main card bout, with Volkan clinching up early on, before a split in the action allowed Oezdemir to land flush on the chin with uppercuts seeing Manuwa stumbling and the onrushing Swiss striker again landing a left hook sending Manuwa crashing hard to the canvas in just 42 seconds, forcing Jason Herzog to step in and call the fight. Volkan Oezdemir could prove very difficult for Daniel Cormier or Jon Jones, rightfully calling out either men after that incredible knockout victory.
