Jimi Manuwa vs. Volkan Oezdemir: What will go down:

Jimi Manuwa (right) certainly has his plans set out for the future.

An almost definite UFC Light Heavyweight title eliminator opens the main card of UFC 214, as scary KO artist Jimi 'Posterboy' Manuwa faces fellow heavy hitter Volkan Oezdemir who made shockingly easy work of Misha Cirkunov in his second ever octagon walk. Manuwa similarly displayed his striking prowess with a cool, clam and collected smashing of Corey Anderson.

Fighting out of London, Manuwa is arguably the hardest hitting Light Heavyweight as of today with the retirement of 'Rumble' Johnson, demonstrated by his mauling of Ovince Saint Preux at UFC 204, and then his first round left hand win over Anderson. Manuwa, a fond friend of fellow top contender Alexander Gustafsson, has only ever lost to 'The Mauler' and the aforementioned Johnson, but has vowed not to challenge Gustafsson if he were to ever hold the Light Heavyweight crown. 37 year-old Manuwa, is said to be contemplating a boxing match with fellow Brit David Haye if he doesn't receive the winner of this weekend's Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones championship rematch.

Having just recently made the giant leap to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Switzerland striker Volkan Oezdemir, has wasted no time in making a shocking impression. Welcomed by former Interim Light Heavyweight title challenger Ovince Saint Preux, Oezdemir picked up a split decision victory before facing rising grappler Misha Cirkunov, starching the Canadian inside thirty seconds in May. 'Cousin' Oezdemir has truly shot up the 205lbs rankings. earning this title eliminator in the process.

This matchup is most certainky a striker versus striker and may come down to who can hit hardest and who can strike first in this highly exciting clash.

Jimi Manuwa via knockout.
