Olexsiy Oliynyk adds to Travis Browne's woes with RNC win:

Huge career win for Oliynyk.
The featured bout of the UFC 213 Prelims, sees an important Heavyweight showdown between former top contender Travis Browne, and sport veteran Olexsiy Oliynyk. Browne was stopped by Derrick Lewis in his last appearance in the octagon at UFC Fight Night Halifax, while Russian subsmission specialist Oliynyk, secured yet another Ezekiel choke victory over Viktor Pešta.

Our referee for this one was 'Big' John McCarthy, as the opening of three rounds began. Browne opened with some decent front kicks to the body of Oliynyk as 'The Boa Constrictor' pushed forward.  Oliynyk was in big trouble after a scramble at the fence, as Travis stung the veteran with a huge left hook, dropping the Moscow native for a moment. Oliynyk then from our of the blue smashed Travis with a big shot of his own, sending the Hawaiian to the canvas before he was then taken down. Oliynyk was unloading on Browne against the fence as 'Hapa' looked to land some more front kicks. One particular attempt was caught by Oliynyk, who pushed through for a takedown, and subsequently took the back of Browne who survived a neck crank attempt at the end of the round. Big round for both men.

Some big deep breaths for Oliynyk at the end of the first round as the second round got underway. Oliynyk was on the receiving end of a high kick, but unfazed, stormed forward and tied up with Browne in the clinch. Browne managed a huge slam but despite Oliynyk's grappling prowess, passed to side control, before a single leg transition allowed Oliynyk to get back to his feet, before sliding to the back and dragging 'Hapa' back to the canvas. Oliynyk once again took the back and finished Browne with a expertly applied rear naked choke win.
