Jon Jones' patient display grants him 3rd round knockout over Daniel Cormier:

Jon Jones reclaims crown and calls out Brock Lesnar!
Our main event of the evening is arguably the most important and competitive Light Heavyweight meeting in mixed-martial arts history, as Daniel Cormeir defends against long time foe and former divison and pound-for-pound #1 Jon 'Bones' Jones in one of the most highly anticipated rematches in UFC history. Cormier has been unbeatable since his last contest with Jones, overcoming Alexander Gustafsson, Anthony Johnson (x2) and former Middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Jones who makes his first octagon walk since April 2016, where he overcame Ovince Saint Preux, has haunted 'DC' ever since his return to the sport, telling how the Lafayette Olympian isn't the real champion and how he will only be remembered as the guy who couldn't beat Jon Jones. What an incredible narrative and bout. The obvious advantage before striking, BJJ or wrestling for Jones was his astonishing 12 inch reach advantage.

'Big' John McCarthy was our referee for this bitter rematch, with the first of five scheduled rounds beginning with a surprising touch of gloves prompted by Jones. Jones was fast out of the blocks, landing with two massive hooks, before a spinning back kick to the body landed and an oblique kick soon followed. A takedown almost landed for Jones with Cormier scrambling back to his feet. Jones then spun Cormier away from the clinch before smashing a right knee to the body of Cormier. Despite Jones' volume of strikes, Cormier was cleanly walking though his shots, and was noticeably more relaxed and calm than the pair's first meeting. Cormier was moving well and slipped a shot to find a home for a good right hand, as both men raised their hands at the sound of the buzzer.

Jon began the second round in positive fashion, shooting with a left hook to the body followed by a jumping knee to the body again. A stoppage in the action due to an unintentional clash of heads occurred, with 'DC' coming off the worst. Both men began taunting each other after Cormier landed flush three times in quick succession. Again just before the end of the round, Cormier tagged 'Bones' with a good overhand right, in what was a hugely impressive round for the current champion.

The third round produced some really positive striking for 'DC' but Jones was landed that oblique kick constantly, before a massive left kick stung Cormier, sending him reeling backward with Jones tripping the champion. Cormier still backing away was again tagged to the body before falling to his side with Jones leaping on 'DC' laying down some incredible elbows and ground and pound, forcing 'Big' John McCarthy to call a halt to the fight, as Jon Jones was crowned the new UFC Light Heavyweight king. After Bruce Buffer made it official, Jones was overwhelmed and broke down in the octagon as he was interviewed by colour commentator Joe Rogan.
