A middleweight main event between division mainstay, the #5 ranked Derek Brunson, and one-time UFC welterweight title challenger, the #6 rated, Darren Till is currently in the works to headline a UFC Fight Night event on August 14th. As of writing the promotion are yet to determine a location or venue for the proposed event.

Headlining UFC Vegas 22 in March, Brunson extended his winning run to four straight fights via a unanimous decision over Riverside striker, Kevin Holland.

Originally scheduled to headline UFC on ABC 2 in April from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada -- Till was forced from the main event tilt against upcoming title challenger, Marvin Vettori after he suffered a broken collarbone. Whilst Till is yet to be medically cleared to compete against Brunson on August 14th., according to a report from ESPN MMA's, Brett Okamoto, the promotion is currently trying to book that headlining clash.

Enjoying a career resurgence, North Carolina native, Brunson added Travis Lutter Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Holland to an eye-catching surge which includes prior successes over the highly-touted prospect, Edmen Shahbazyan, Ian Heinisch, and Elias Theodorou.

With a professional record of 22-7, the 37-year-old Brunson has lodged an eye-catching eleven separate knockout wins across his career, which began back in May of 2010.

Injuries woes, this time in relation to a prior knee injury suffered last July against former champion and common-foe, Robert Whittaker, Till was forced from a UFC Vegas 16 main event against Jack Hermansson back in December.

Sidelined since his loss to Whittaker on 'Fight Island' last summer, the unanimous decision loss came as Team Kaobon mainstay, Till's first at middleweight following a UFC 244 co-main event judging win over one-time interim title challenger, Kelvin Gastelum in November of 2019.
