Take a look back on a week in MMA where bantamweight contender, Rob Font grabs his most high-profile professional win to date opposite former champion, Cody Garbrandt. Long-time UFC lightweight contender, Paul Felder officially hangs up his gloves in a bid to focus on his flourishing broadcast career. And undisputed Bellator featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg successfully defends her title in a rematch triumph against Leslie Smith. 

Opening the week, UFC president, Dana White claimed that the future of former two-time light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones remains up in the air. The Albuquerque native could fight again this summer, or could never fight again according to White.

Suffering a broken humerus opposite Andre Muniz at UFC 262 last weekend, former Strikeforce middleweight champion, Ronaldo Souza underwent successful surgery in Houston, Texas on Monday. 

Returning to Sao Paulo, Brazil following his lightweight title coronation at UFC 262 against Michael Chandler, Charles Oliveira was welcomed back to his native grounds with a massive parade through the city's streets as well as a massive mural was graffitied in his honour. 

Off the back of his third straight loss, former interim UFC lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson quashed rumours of a potential retirement from professional mixed martial arts.

Following his Fight of the Night honours opposite Shane Burgos at UFC 262 to open the main card, Brazilian Muay Thai ace, Edson Barboza suggested an August return of his own -- in the form of a UFC Fight Night headlining opposite former featherweight best, Max Holloway. 

Making massive waves with PFL (Professional Fighters League) undefeated two-time Olympic gold medalist, Kayla Harrison apparently has a UFC deal waiting her signature once she feels prepared to make the Octagon leap as per promotional leader, Dana White. 

In the works for UFC 265 on August 7th.; a massive bantamweight tilt against former featherweight kingpin, Jose Aldo and his #8 ranked compatriot, Pedro Munhoz. 

In some much needed positive news surronding this situation, former UFC lightweight title challenger, Diego Sanchez confirmed that he has ended his professional relationship with his coach and manager, Joshua Fabia.

Following his loss to the above-mentioned, Muniz, veteran Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu icon, Souza was removed from the UFC's fan rankings pool, after he completed his contractual obligations with the organization. 

Slated to headline Cage Warriors 125 on June 26th. from York Hall -- the vacant Cage Warriors welterweight championship is up for grabs as Jack Grant meets with Ian Garry in the promotion's welterweight tournament finale. 

Headlining Bellator 259 on Friday night, decorated Bellator featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg lodged a second career win over Leslie Smith -- stopping the veteran challenger with just nine seconds remaining in their main event re-run due to strikes.

Announcing his official retirement from professional mixed martial arts competition during the broadcast of UFC Vegas 27 -- the #9 ranked lightweight contender, Paul 'The Irish Dragon' Felder officially called time on his career after some deliberation -- citing his intentions to focus on his already stellar broadcasting career. 

Co-headlining the UFC Apex facility event, former strawweight champion, Carla Esparza stamped her intentions to rematch Rose Namajunas for the title next -- scoring her fifth consecutive win in the form of a dominant, one-sided ground stoppage over the promotional-perfect contender, Yan Xiaonan. 

Rounding out the Fight Night card -- the #3 ranked, Rob Font contiuned with his rich vein of form; taking home an impressive, striking clinic unanimous decision succcess over the highly-dangerous former undisputed gold holder, Cody Garbrandt over the course of five rounds.
