An eye-catching middleweight showdown between surging finisher, Dricus 'Stillknocks' Du Plessis, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace, Andre 'Sergipano' Muniz is slated to land at UFC 269 on December 11. from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
For two-fight Dana White's Contender Series alum, Muniz, the submission ace became the first to submit former Strikeforce middleweight champion, Ronaldo Souza in professional mixed martial arts at UFC 262 -- stopping his compatriot with an opening round armbar. In the midst of a four-fight professional run, the 27-year-old has dropped just two career losses against both renowned striker, Roberto Soldic, as well as UFC alum, Gareth McClellan.
