Report - Manel Kape vs. Zhalgas Zhumagulov Booked For UFC Event on December 4th.

A flyweight matchup between former Rizin FF bantamweight champion, Manel 'Prodigio' Kape, and knockout artist, Zhalgas 'Zhako' Zhumagulov has been added to a UFC Fight Night event on December 4. -- with a location or venue for the event has yet to be determined by the organization. 

Scoring his first Octagon victory at the third time of trying last time out, Angola-born contender, Kape featured at UFC 265 in August at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas -- stopping Ode' Osbourne with a massive opening round flying knee. 

Also earning his first Octagon triumph in his third outing under the promotion's banner last time out, Kazakhstan native, Zhumagulov stopped Jerome Rivera with an opening round guillotine stoppage at UFC 264 in July. Winning the Rizin FF bantamweight crown before his move to the UFC back in December 2019, Kape stopped Kai Asakura with a second round knockout before penning a multi-fight deal with the UFC.

In his debut outing in a flyweight division return, Kape suffered a unanimous decision loss to surging flyweight contender, Alexandre Pantoja.

Prior to his 129lbs catchweight win over Osbourne in August, Kape dropped a close, contentious split decision loss against Brazilian finisher, Matheus Nicolau at UFC Vegas 21 in March. 

A 19-fight professional veteran, Zhumagulov is also a former Fight Nights Global flyweight champion, having bested Tagir Ulanbekov to clinch the title, before lodging a successful defense against UFC alum and former title challenger, Ali Bagautinov with a split decision success. 

Prior to his submission success against Rivera, Zhumagulov dropped a pair of unanimous decision defeats opposite the duo of Amir Albazi and Raulian Paiva.
