A flyweight matchup between flyweight prospects, the #15 rated Montana De La Rosa, and the #13 ranked contender, Maycee Barber has been booked for UFC 269 on December 11. from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Undefeated in her last two Octagon walks, Fort Worth native, De La Rosa last featured at UFC Vegas 28 in June -- nabbing an impressive second round knockout win over former KSW flyweight champion, Ariane Lipski.
Snapping a losing skid for the first time in her 10-fight professional career back in July at UFC Vegas 32, Barber scored a hugely contentious split decision victory over Miranda Maverick -- improving to 8-2 as a professional. De La Rosa announced the pairing during an appearance on an MMA Junkie Instagram session with reporters, Nolan King, and John Morgan.
A 19-fight professional veteran, De La Rosa improved to 12-6 as a professional with her impressive stoppage win over Lipski back in June.
The 26-year-old featured on The Ultimate Fighter 26 back in November 2017 -- dropping a quarter final bracket loss to inaugural flyweight champion and eventual tournament victor, now-UFC alum, Nicco Montano.
Making her UFC bow back in December of that year at the season's finale, De La Rosa bested Christina Marks with a submission success, before stopping the pair of Rachael Ostovich and Nadia Kassem with another pair of submission wins. In between a pair of losses against Andrea Lee and Viviane Araujo, De La Rosa bested Mara Romero Borella with a UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho unanimous decision win in February of last year.
Barber, a product of Dana White's Contender Series -- also featured prominently under the LFA banner prior to her UFC bow back in November 2018.
Debuting in the promotion boasting an undefeated 5-0 record, Barber bested the trio of Hannah Cifers, JJ Aldrich, and Gillian Robertson with an impressive trio of knockout finishes.
Catapulted into a high-profile UFC 246 pairing with veteran contender, Roxanne Modafferi in January of last year, Barber suffered a knee injury en route to a massive underdog unanimous decision loss.
Returning at UFC 258 in February last, Barber suffered a split decision loss against Alexa Grasso, before lodging a razor-thin and highly-debated split judging success of her own over the aforenoted, Maverick.
