Report - Jon Jones Charged With Battery Domestic Violence, Tampering With Vehicle Following Las Vegas Arrest

Former two-time UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones remains in custody at the Clark County Detention Center this Friday night, after he was arrested and charged with battery domestic violence and tampering with a vehicle in the early hours of his morning at the Caesers Palace casino.

According to an initial report from ESPN MMA reporter, Marc Raimondi, spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metro Police Department confirmed the arrest of Jonathan Jones for misdemeanor battery domestic violence, as well as injuring and tampering with a vehicle, a felony in the early hours of last night. 

34-year-old Albuquerque resident, Jones attended the UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony last night in Las Vegas where he received an award as he September 2013 UFC 165 main event clash with Alexander Gustafsson was inducted into the Fight Wing Hall of Fame. 

The Rochester-born look-see-do fighter last competed professionally at UFC 247 in February of last year where he managed to successfully defend his light heavyweight championship with a unanimous decision win over Dominick Reyes at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Per Jones' booking sheet as obtained by TSN reporter, Aaron Bronsteter, Jones is set to appear initially in court tomorrow, Saturday, September 25. as he currently remains at the Clark County Detention Center. The 34-year-old's bail is currently set at $8,000 total, $3,000 for a charge of battery domestic violence and a further $5,000 for a charge of injuring and tampering with a vehicle. 

TMZ details how law enforcement responded to calls from the Caesers Palace casino at 5:45 am local time on Friday morning, where they spoke with Jones before arresting him and charging him with battery domestic violence as well as injuring and tampering with a vehicle.
