Video - Dillon Danis Struggles With Law Enforcement Whilst Taken Into Custody



Bellator MMA welterweight and renowned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu player, Dillon Danis appears to have landed himself in hot water with law enforcement, with recent footage showing the New Jersey native struggling with police officers as he his handcuffed and brought into custody.

Danis, 28, boasts an undefeated 2-0 professional mixed martial arts record, with his most recent victory and outing coming in a first round armbar win over Max Humphrey at Bellator 222 in June 2019.

In footage posted online, Danis appears to struggle with law enforcement officers outside an establishment in Seaside Heighs, New Jersey, with one officer lifting the welterweight grappler from the ground as he attempts to struggle from his handcuffs. In the video footage posted, a woman who appears to be filming the situation sarcastically says "Oh no, baby" as Danis is escorted down an entrance ramp from what has been reported by MMA Junkie as the Beachcomer Bar and Grill before his taken into police custody. 

Danis, who is wearing a knee brace outside of his right pant leg, has yet to address his arrest in any form of post on social media, whilst a mug shot, unconfirmed to be Danis at the time of publication has also surfaced on Twitter

Danis is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under renowned coach, Marcelo Garcia, and has featured prominently as a training partner for former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion, 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor at Straight Blast Gym since McGregor's featherweight title victory against Jose Aldo back in December 2015.

In his most recent Instagram post, Danis posted a picture alongside the aforenoted, McGregor following the VMA Awards in Brooklyn, New York -- where the latter was allegedly involved in an altercation with musician, Machine Gun Kelly (real name Colson Baker).

Prior to his victory over the above-mentioned, Humphrey, Danis made his professional mixed martial arts debut at Bellator 198 in April 2018 -- submitting Kyle Walker with an opening round toe-hold.

Danis underwent reconstructive surgery to repair a knee injury in March 2020 following his help in preparing the aforementioned McGregor for his UFC 246 return against Donald Cerrone back in January of last year, and has yet to be booked by Bellator since. 

Posting a cryptic tweet in the last hour, Danis took to his official Twitter account, posting, "you people need me".
