Fedor Emelianenko vs. Ramage Jackson Headlines Bellator vs. Rizin In December

Fedor and Rampage finally clash this December.

A heavyweight matchup between two stalwarts of mixed-martial-arts will headline a cross-promoted Bellator vs. Rizin event from the Saitama Super Arena on December, 29th. as Fedor 'The Last Emperor' Emelianenko meets Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson in familiar territory for both men.

Russian icon Fedor Emelianenko has spent the last two years competing under the Bellator MMA banner, featuring in their Heavyweight Grand Prix where he booked a final spot alongside Ryan Bader. Stopping both Frank Mir and Chael Sonnen on route to the final, Fedor joined the ranks of Scott Coker's promotion as one of the most successful, feared and dominant forces we've ever see since the sport's inception.

December marks a return to Japan for Emelianenko, a stomping ground where he achieved the majority of his success. The former PRIDE FC heavyweight champion and 2004 Grand Prix victor, holds one of the most impressive resumes of all time. The vicious striker and Sambo practitoner hold victories over the likes of Andrei Arlovski, Tim Sylvia, Semmy Schilt, Ricardo Arona, Mark Hunt, Mark Coleman, Kevin Randleman, Mirko Cro Cop and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. During his four year stint with the Japan based promotion, Fedor secured an undefeated 13-0 record.

December opponent Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson also made his claim to fame and success during his time with PRIDE FC, the UFC and of course, his quadrilogy clash with Brazilian legend Wanderlei 'The Axe Murderer' Silva. Despite never picking up gold during his time in Japan, 'Rampage' holds some incredible highlight reel stoppages, notably an infamous slam of the aforementioned Ricardo Arona.

Victories over the likes of Murilo Bustamante, Chuck Liddell, Igor Vovchanchyn, Kevin Randleman and Murilo 'Ninja' Rua cemented Jackson's legacy as one of the promotion's best. In 2007, 'Rampage' made the move to the Ultimate Fighting Championship where he stopped Chuck Liddell's reign as light heavyweight champion, and then successfully defended against Dan Henderson.
