Jedrzejczyk was expected to make her return to strawweight this weekend.
Former UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has informed the Ultimate Fighting Championship this morning, that she is unable to make the strawweight limit for her UFC Fight Night Tampa headliner with Michelle Waterson this Saturday, according to CanalCombate writer Raphael Marinho.

According to the Brazilian, Michelle Waterson has also refused a matchup with Mackenzie Dern or Amanda Ribas, two other strawweight fighters who happen to feature on the event's main card. Marinho also tells, how former Invicta FC strawweight champion Angela 'Overkill' Hill has offered to step in on short notice and face Poland's Jedrzejczyk, while the surging Jackson-Wink MMA staple Waterson may move to November's UFC 244 card at Madison Square Garden in a meeting with former division champion Jessica Andrade, who recently suffered a first round knockout to Weili Zhang, if she refuses a catchweight meeting with the Poland native.

Joanna Jedrzezczyk last featured in an unsuccessful challenge of the flyweight crown against Valentina Shevchenko and finds herself 1-3 in her in her last four Octagon appearances, while Albequerque favorite Waterson dispatched Karolina Kowalkiewicz in her most recent outing in March.
