It's almost reminiscent of Enter The Dragon at this stage. It may not be Han's island - but Dana White steps into the director's role here, in place of Robert Clouse.

With the confirmation of UFC 249's new headliner on Monday evening - the UFC has gone a step further to remain in as regular a schedule as possible. With the April 18th. event expected to be held at a location on the west coast, UFC president, Dana White, has revealed he is planning on securing a private island to host UFC events on a weekly basis.

White has plans to host events on April 25th., May 2nd., and May 9th. - with the island providing a location for both international, and United States-based competitors. The UFC 249 card has had some major alterations, and it's expected bouts from postponed events in London, Columbus, and Portland may feature throughout White's schedule.

Speaking with TMZ, White outlined his plan to secure the private island and host events, "every week".

"I locked this venue (west coast venue for UFC 249) for two months," White explained. "I have this venue for two months, and we're setting up shop here. We're going to be pumping out fights every week. I'm also a day or two away from securing a private island. I have a private island that I've secured. We're getting the infrastructure put in now, so I'm going to start doing the international fights, too, with the international fighters."

"I'm not going to be able to get the international fighters, all of them into the U.S., so I have a private island," White said. "I'm going to start flying them all into the private island and start doing international fights from there. So as of April 18th., the UFC is back up and running. We have all our own planes and everything, we're going to fly into the island with the fighters."

Speaking with ESPN reporter, Brett Okamoto, White further elaborated on the private island.

"I've also secured an island," White told. "I've got an island. The infrastructure is being built right now. We're going to do all our international fights on this island. So, when April 18th. - when we do this fight on April 18th. in the United States, we're going to start cranking. The UFC will be back up and running, internationally and back here in the States."

As for the events which could possibly take place on this private island, we've got three that fall on the aforementioned April and May dates. On April 25th. Anthony Smith is expected to take on Glover Teixeira, while Jack Hermansson is scheduled to take on former middleweight champion, Chris Weidman, on May 2nd. The UFC has scheduled UFC 250 for May 9th. with the event featuring a bantamweight title meeting between Henry Cejudo and José Aldo, and a featherweight title pairing of Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer expected to take place on the island, rather than Brazil.
