The UFC is expected to hold four events between May 9th. and May 23rd. as they attempt to return to a regular schedule, amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The promotion will field cards on May 9th., May 13th., May 16th., and May 23rd. - the organization's president, Dana White explained to ESPN reporter Brett Okamoto. The Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida will host events from May 9th. to May 16th. behind closed doors.

A June 6th. return is also targetted for the UFC Apex gym in Las Vegas, Nevada - although ESPN writer, Ariel Helwani, explained how plans are tentative with the Nevada State Athletic Commission yet to approve the pay-per-view event.

White, also informed Okamoto that infrastructure is currently being worked on for UFC Fight Island to host events from June.

In a statement released by Dana White, the promotion's leader outlined his excitement at the prospect of hosting fights once more.

"I can't wait to deliver some great fights for the fans," White explained. "I want to give a big thanks to Mayor Curry, VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena and Florida State Boxing Commission Executive Director Patrick Cunningham for getting this thing done and giving us a venue to put on these incredible cards, as well our media partners including ESPN and ESPN+, for bringing it to fans. My team is ready to go and the fighters and excited to get back in there with these back-to-back events."
