The event, which is scheduled to be headlined by a heavyweight title-eliminator between Francis Ngannou, and Jairzinho Rozenstruik is the latest event the pandemic has affected, after UFC Fight Night Brasília was forced to be held behind closed doors, with a closed gate. News of the venue change was initially reported by Brazilian outlet, Combate.

As of writing, the U.K. has entered the "delay" stage as they attempt to cope with the spread of the virus, with UFC Fight Night London currently in limbo. This evening, New York State announced it will be banning public gatherings of more than five-hundred people as they attempt to tackle the spread of coronavirus, putting the lightweight title pairing of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 in Brooklyn, in jeopardy.
