A highly-anticipated lightweight clash between Peter 'The Showstopper' Queally and Brazil's, Patricky 'Pitbull' Freire has been earmarked as the headliner of Bellator's return to Dublin on October 3rd.

Waterford native, Queally, suffered an LCL tear ahead of his February clash with Brent Primus in the capital, and was replaced by Scotland's, Chris Bungard. The Straight Blast Gym mainstay will return for the first time in October, following his rally against Ryan Scope last September - where he recovered from a high-kick knockdown to finish Scope via strikes. The 31-year-old made his Bellator debut back in February of last year, losing a very close decision to former teammate and now American Kickboxing Academy trainee, Myles Price.

Rio Grande do Notre born, Freire, competed in the Rizin Lightweight Grand Prix final in his last outing - dropping a unanimous decision to Tofiq Musayev, following two victories over Luiz Gustavo, and Tatsuya Kawajiri. Patricky, the older brother of Patricio 'Pitbull' who looks to defend his featherweight title against Queally's teammate, Pedro Carvalho this weekend - had won seven fights straight before his loss to Musayev. In his fifteen-year career, Patricky 'Pitbull' has managed wins over the likes of Derek Campos (x2), Josh Thomson, Saad Awad, Kurt Pellegrino, Benson Henderson, and Roger Huerta.

Bellator Dublin takes place on October 3rd. from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
