A middleweight clash between former division champion, Robert 'The Reaper' Whittaker, and one-time welterweight title challenger, Darren 'The Gorilla' Till is expected to headline UFC Fight Night Dublin on August 15th - per an initial report from ESPN staff writer, Brett Okamoto.

New Zealand native, Whittaker, is targeting a return to action for the first time since his title unification loss to Israel Adesanya last October at UFC 243. Liverpool-born Till on the other hand, recently returned to the win-column last November. In the co-headliner of UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden, Till made a successful middleweight debut in a unanimous decision showing against former interim title chaser, Kelvin Gastelum.

Whittaker, 29, suffered his first middleweight loss against Adesanya last year - following a run of eight straight wins at 185-pounds. The Sydney resident was forced from a high-stakes pairing with Jared 'The Killa Gorilla' at UFC 248 last weekend - due to undisclosed personal reasons. During his run to the middleweight crown, Whittaker lodged wins over Derek Brunson, Uriah Hall, Jacaré Souza, and Brad Tavares of note. The gritty striker also holds two hard-fought decision triumphs over recent title challenger, Yoel Romero.

It's a short trip across the Irish Sea for Liverpudlian Till, who will make his second appearance 185-pounds this summer. Till, who continually struggled to make the 170-pound limit, dropped his final two appearances at that weight-class, to Tyron Woodley, and then Jorge Masvidal. During his quest to his first promotional title tilt, Till managed wins over Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, and former two-time gold-chaser, Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson.

UFC Fight Night Dublin will take place on August 15th. from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
