Valentina Shevchenko V Julianna Peña: What will go down:

The main event of UFC Fight Night Denver, sees an almost certain UFC Women's Bantamweight title eliminator between phenomenal striker Valentina Shevchenko, and equally dominant grappler and ground and pound specialist Julianna Peña. Shevchenko recovered from an unfortunate decision loss to division champ Amanda Nunes, by slaying former queen Holly Holm. 'The Venezuelan Vixen' is unbeaten in the organisation, picking up notable decision victories over Jessica Eye and Cat Zingano. At UFC 200, Peña demonstrated her immense control from the top, landing some decent shots on her way to a decision win. Shevchenko is a completely difference matchup styliztically for the 27 year-old Peña, relying heavily on her fantastic Kickboxing technique, and her utilisation of a clever, calculated straight-cross. 'The Bullet{s}' only other loss than Nunes, occurred against inaugural UFC Women's Bantamweight challenger Liz Carmouche over 6 years ago, but a split decision win over Sarah Kaufman, turned numerous heads. A win for Valentina would setup a rematch with Amanda 'The Lioness' Nunes for the Bantamweight crown, but she faces stiff competition from the younger Peña. I believe Julianna's aggressive style and ground credentials may prove to much for Shevchenko to combat, against the Ultimate Fighter season 18 victor.

Julianna Peña via split decision.
