MMA legend Mirko Cro Cop once again announces his retirement:

Recent Rizin FF Tournament victor, Mirko Filipović has told how he plans on retiring from the sport of mixed martial arts, but on this occasion has told how he is suffering from "health problems" and how his decision is "definite". This marks the second separate occasion the iconic Croatian has decided to call time on his career, after he planned on retiring back in November 2015, but just a day later, was notified by USADA of a potential anti-doping violation, before admitting to using Human Growth Hormone (HGH). Cro Cop returned back in September 2016, securing an arm triangle win over Hyun Man Myung, before stopping late Wanderlei Silva replacement Muhammad 'King Mo' Lawal, Estonian sumo wrestler Baruto Kaito and in the tournament final Iranian Amir Aliakbari to claim the Rizin Open-Weight Grand Prix crown. Filipović also claimed the 2006 Pride World Open-Weight Grand Prix title, overcoming Josh Barnett in the tournaments final after finishing Wanderlei Silva with a trademark left high kick in the semifinals. Cro Cop's incredible power in both his left and right kicks, earned the ever remembered description of "right leg, hospital; left leg, cemetery." The Croatian's extraordinary decision win over Dutch kickboxer Ismael Londt earned him the K-1 World Grand Prix title back in 2012, and made him the only ever to win a K-1 and Pride Grand Prix cown. Cro Cop will forevermore go down as one of the greatest kickboxers in recent memory along with fellow greats Jérõme Le Banner, Semmy Schilt, Remy Bonjasky, Ray Sefo, Igor Vovchanchyn and Dutch pioneer Ernesto Hoost
