Tito Ortiz submits Chael Sonnen as he bows out:
Former UFC favourites Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen met in the main event of Bellator 170, with bad blood between both increasing since Friday's weigh in and press conferences. 'The Huntington Beach Bad Boy' broke the news that he would be stepping away from the sport after his three round battle against 'The American Gangster'. Both men started frantically with Sonnen looking to land leg kicks, while Ortiz landed a good right hand at the start of the round. Ortiz shot for a single leg, and Sonnen established a front head lock position as the pair went to the mat. Sonnen then sunk down deep looking for a guillotine, which Ortiz escaped from. Tito, then from full mount threw down some slashing elbows, while Sonnen tried to roll to his back, ultimately giving up his back to Ortiz who, secured a body triangle, a locked in a rear naked choke and forced Sonnen to tap in the very first round.
