Jorge Masvidal snaps Cerrone's four fight win streak to shock Denver:

The co-main event of UFC Fight Night Denver, seen Welterweight contenders Donald Cerrone and Jorge Masvidal, with the winner most certainly leapfrogging the surrounding competition. With Cerrone fighting at home, the expected boos for Masvidal rang around the arena as the first round began. Cerrone tried with an early calf kick with Masvidal using his footwork to escape. 'Cowboy' was displaying his fantastic kickboxing game early on, landing a good body kick. A good exchange between the pair drew an ovation from the crowd. The calf kick was there everytime for Cerrone, with 'Gamebred' unable to get anything going in the first with 2 minutes left in the opening round. Masvidal missed with a close spinning back kick, before landing a spinning back-fist. Cerrone retaliated with a head kick of his own. Masvidal found success with a decent spinning back kick to the body of 'Cowboy'. Wow! A huge shot from Masvidal dropped Cerrone at the very end of the round, with Herb Dean looking like he stopped the fight, but later called for the bell. The second round began with Cerrone needing to clear the cobwebs after that huge knockdown. Masvidal was applying huge pressure on Donald, landing some huge knees to Cerrone's body, before once again dropping the crowd favourite, this time forcing Herb Dean to call the fight.
