All-American prospect Cody Law set for professional bow tomorrow at Bellator 250

Set for his first-ever professional appearance tomorrow night in Uncasville, Connecticut - amateur wrestling standout, Cody Law looks to begin his multi-fight stint under the Bellator MMA banner with a bang opposite fellow debutante, Orlando Ortega.

Law, an eye-catching NCAA Division II All-American champion, carries an undefeated 5-0 amateur stint into tomorrow night's proceedings, attempting to get off the mark professionally with a win. 

The 25-year-old, who plys his trade at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, is also managed by First Round Management duo, Malki and Abraham Kawa. Law, who pen to paper on a multi-fight deal with the Scott Coker led promotion in September, certainly isn't wasting any time bedding into his new surroundings, inking the first fight of that deal just a month later. Law also featured prominently in BMF championship holder, Jorge 'Gamebred' Masvidal's preparation for his eventual UFC 251 clash with Kamaru Usman in July. 

Law, a native of Windber, Pennsylvania has scored three finishes from his five-fight amateur career, taking submission wins over both Teyonte Hawkins, and Keyatay Bleuster, to go with a knockout win over Treg Wills, and a pair of unanimous decision victories over Keita Espinosa, and Devon Jeffries.

Taking on fellow finisher, Ortega - the two open the Bellator 250 card in a featherweight tie. Sharing the showcase with some promotional standouts, Law and Ortega jerk the curtain ahead of notable pairings of Nick Newell vs. Zachary Zane, and Jake Hager vs. Brandon Calton. On the main card, featherweight contenders, Henry Corrales and Brandon Girtz meet before a massive vacant middleweight title matchup of former champion, Gegard Mousasi, and current welterweight best, Douglas Lima.
