Report: Tim Elliott vs. Jordan Espinosa Added to UFC Event on January 16th.

A flyweight pairing between one-time title challenger, Tim Elliott, and Dana White's Contender Series alum, Jordan Espinosa is slated for a UFC event on January 16th. - with a location or venue for the pairing yet to be determined by the promotion.

Making his return from a controversial suspension dished out by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after he returned a positive test for marijuana in September - Wichita native, Elliott rebounded to the win column with a unanimous decision win over Ryan Benoit at UFC Fight Island 1 in July.

Connecticut born challenger, Espinosa himself hopes to return to winning ways - following a unanimous decision loss of his own against David Dvořák at UFC Vegas 11 in September. News of the flyweight pairing was first reported by MMA DNA reporter, Marcel Dorff

Elliott, 33, snapped a three-fight slide with his July victory over Benoit. The veteran grappler had dropped losses to surging contender, Brandon Royval, former ACB flyweight best, Askar Askarov - after a submission defeat to current flyweight titleholder, Deiveson Figueiredo. 

A twenty-eight fight professional veteran, Elliott - who claimed The Ulitmate Fighter 24 crown is also a former Titan FC titleholder, notching notable victories over the likes of Jens Pulver, Louis Gaudinot, Louis Smolka, and Mark De La Rosa.

15-8 Albuquerque based challenger, Espinosa holds a 2-3 promotional résumé since his arrival in the organization back in 2019 following successful outings on DWCS in both 2017 and 2018.

The talented grappling threat has scored seven separate submission successes picking up wins over common-opposition, De La Rosa, and Eric Shelton during his brief stint under the UFC's banner.
