Report: Roxanne Modafferi vs. Viviane Araújo in The Works For UFC Event on January 30th.

A flyweight matchup of veteran grappler, Roxanne 'The Happy Warrior' Modafferi, and Brazilian finisher, Viviane 'Vivi' Araújo is currently targeted for a UFC event on January 30th. - with a location and venue for the card yet to be determined by the organization.
Veteran Delaware native, Modafferi looks to extend her unbeaten run to two fights opposite Araújo - following a return to winning ways with a unanimous decision win over former LFA flyweight best, Andrea 'KGB' Lee at UFC Vegas 10 in September in a rematch.
Finding her way back to the winner's enclosure recently, Araújo put on a striking clinic on her way to a unanimous judging win of her own over The Ultimate Fighter 26 alum, Montana De La Rosa at UFC Vegas 9, also in September of this year. News of the expected pairing was initially penned by MMA Fighting reporters, Mike Heck and Guilherme Cruz.
Modafferi, 38 - looks to score her eighth Octagon appearance since her short-notice inaugural flyweight title challenge defeat to Nicco Montaño back in December of 2017. Securing a 4-4 promotional record - Modafferi has managed to notch notable promotional victories over Barb Honchak, Antonina Shevchenko, rising prospect, Maycee Barber, and the above mentioned, Lee.
Araújo, a former Pancrase strawweight titleholder, has managed to score a 3-1 résumé under the UFC's banner since her promotional bow back in May of 2011. Originally competing in the bantamweight ranks, Araújo scored a knockout win over Talita Bernardo - before an eventual drop to 125-pounds.
Before her only promotional blemish opposite one-time title challenger, Jessica Eye in which the latter tipped the flyweight scales at 131-pounds - the Brazilian had picked up a unanimous decision win over former bantamweight title challenger, Alexis Davis.
