Irvine native, Calderwood looks to kickstart her title run once again, following an opening-round armbar loss to former Invicta FC flyweight best, Jennifer Maia - in what ultimately proved a flyweight title eliminator, with the Brazilian now set to meet champion, Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 255 in November. Plagued with a string of weight cutting issues, Eye has tipped the flyweight scales in her last two outings.

Calderwood, 33, was initially scheduled to meet with Kyrgyzstan finisher, Shevchenko at a UFC 251 card set for Australia, but choose to take a pairing with Maia after the gold holder was forced to withdraw due to a leg injury.
Prior to her loss to Maia in August - the recent Syndicate MMA mover had managed wins over common-foe, Faria, one-time title challenger, Valérie Létourneau, former KSW best, Ariane Lipski, and one-time LFA flyweight champion, Andrea Lee.
