B.J. Penn V Dennis Siver: What will go down:

If B.J. Is unsuccessful once more, it's surely time to hang em' up permanently.
The opening bout of the main card of UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City, sees a Featherweight matchup between former Welterweight and Lightweight king B.J. Penn, and German kickboxer Dennis Siver. Penn is eyeing a first win since 2010, after a brutal knockout loss to Yair Rodríguez last time out, while 38 year-old Siver is on a two fight slide, and last featured in 2015.

Undeniably one of the pound-for-pound greatest mixed-martial artists in history, 'The Prodigy' B.J. Penn already holds a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame, and with wins over the likes of Matt Hughes, Caol Uno, Matt Serra, Jens Pulver and Diego Sanchez, the Hawaii favourite has certainly built an incredible legacy, which may very likely take a battering after his January return to the sport. Looking lacklustre and past his absolute best since 2010, Penn was faced against difficult striker Yair 'El Pantera' Rodríguez, where he was systematically outclassed throughout the opening round, before suffering a front kick knockout early in the second round. The upcoming bout against Siver maybe isn't as detrimental, with Siver not really acknowledged as a power puncher, and his 9 submissions to date shouldn't trouble the BJJ black belt of Penn.

Without a win since 2014, German striker Siver, was annihilated by Conor McGregor in a total mismatch before Japan veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri recovered from a Clay Guida loss to pick up a decision win over Siver. Berated for his UFC 168 failed drug test after a win over Manvel Gamburyan, Siver's urine sample contained the banned substance hCG, and he was subsequently suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Comission. Leading up to his bout with McGregor, the Dublin native highlighted the failed drug test, calling Siver a "weird looking little German guy" referring to the change in the appearance of Siver after his steroid use. Nevertheless, Siver is a black belt in Taekwondo, so he is still quite troublesome in he striking exchanges.

The clever approach for this bout would definitely see B.J. get this one to the ground as early as possible, to utilise his astonishing 5th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in an attempt to close the show via submission.

B.J. Penn via split decision.
