Holly Holm scores incredible head kick knockout over Bethe Correia:

What an amazing finish for Holm.
Our main event of the evening seen a big Women's Bantmaweight scrap between former champion Holly Holm, and Brazilian ranked contender Bethe Correia. Holly must utilise her striking early here and her fantastic distance control, while 'Pitbull' must get this fight to the ground to use her much better BJJ.

Very few strikes in the opening minute or so of this one, as Holm kept Bethe on the outside, landing a front leg side kick to the body for the first time, keeping her distance well. Hugely tentative opening with referee Marc Goddard urging both ladies to engage. Holly then scored a real decent shot to the body, in the form of a left kick. Both exchanged jabs as Bethe began to smile at Holm. Not a whole lot to talk about in the opening five minutes, hugely cagey beginning.

Round 2 began with a front leg side kick from Holm. Bethe then traded a right shot landing clean. Marc Goddard then showed why he's one of the best in the business, calling a break to issue a warning for timidity for both competitors. A good leg kick found its target for Holm after a spinning back fist from Correia. End of the second round.

Bethe was told not to respect the striking of Holm by her corner, but when Bethe threw her hands down to taunt the American, and urge her forward, Holm then smashed Correia with a similar head kick to the one that stopped Ronda Rousey, as Correia slumped to the canvas. Incredible finish from Holly Holm.
