Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou to clash at UFC 215:
I
ncredible strikers Junior 'Cigano' dos Santos and French monster Francis 'The Predator' Ngannou will meet at UFC 215 in Canada in a hugely significant Heavyweight bout with certain title implications for the victor.
Headlining UFC 211 in May, dos Santos featured against world champ Stipe Miocic in a long awaited rematch but was convincing stopped in the opening round from a big right shot from the Ohio favourite. The Brazilian is regarded as one of the most naturally gifted boxers in Heavyweight history, but has been on the receiving end of recent barrages as of late, losing three of his last five with KO losses to Alistair Overeem and Cain Velasquez taking it's toll on 'Cigano'. A former Heavyweight champion, JDS successfully defended against grappler Frank Mir after claiming the crown from Velasquez in their premier bout.
After starching former division king Andrei Arlovski early in the opening round of their bout, the unbeaten Ngannou has earned a substantial amount of attention due to his sheer overwhelming KO power and dominance which has been on display ever since his promotion bow. Scary knockout power isn't the only aspect to the Batié native's game, as he also possesses a good ground game, dragging Anthony Hamilton to the ground before submitting the American with a beautifully executed Kimura. If Ngannou can continue his steamroll of the division with a win over dos Santos, a title siege against Stipe Miocic, or a title eliminator agaisnt Alistair Overeem or Fabrício Werdum may await 'The Predator'.
