Michael Chiesa V Kevin Lee: What will go down:

Can Michael Chiesa lock up another RNC victory?
Our main event of UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City, sees a Lightweight showdown full to the brim of bad blood, as grappling sensation Michael 'Maverick' Chiesa takes on fellow submission specialist Kevin Lee. Tempers flared between the two at the UFC Summer Kickoff Press Conference, where Lee began trash talking Chiesa, telling how he would make the Aurora native more money due to his drawing power, before mentioning how Chiesa's mother had got tickets to the event, forcing a reaction from Chiesa who later told how family isn't involved in the sport. Chiesa then clambered across the stage where he was met by Lee who threw a right hand at 'Maverick', before both men were escorted off the stage.

With a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Chiesa is an established grappler who has forced the tap from 10 different opppnents, stopping Beneil Dariush most recently with a beautifully executed standing rear-naked choke. Chiesa is also the winner of The Ultimate Fighter season 15, beating fellow Lightweight Al Iaquinta via yet another first round RNC. Chiesa has only been beaten twice so far in his professional career, losing via D'arce to Jorge Masvidal, and then by TKO to veteran 155lbs challenger Joe Lauzon.

'The MoTown Phenom' Kevin Lee on the other hand, is also riding a hugely impressive win streak, last time getting the better of Brazil's Francisco Trinaldo at UFC Fight Night Fortaleza in March. At just 24 years of age, Lee has a background in NCAA wrestling, and used said wrestling to set up his Jiu-Jitsu base. Lee has only lost twice so far also, with losses to Al Iaquinta and a KO loss to grappler Leonardo Santos the only blemishes on his record.

It could be argued that Chiesa has faced the more stiff competition so far in his time in the UFC, taking on the aforementioned Masvidal and Lauzon, but also faced long time contenders Jim Miller and Beneil Dariush. Expect almost a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu matchup in this one with both men such adept subsmission stars, but with Chiesa's big fight UFC experience and patient approach, I see him taking the W here.

Michael Chiesa via subsmission.
