Holly Holm V Bethe Correia: What will go down:

A loss for Holm may spell the end of her UFC career.
The main event of UFC Fight Night Singapore sees a must win contest for former Bantamweight queen Holly Holm, as she looks to end a three fight slide, when she faces Brazilian striker Bethe Correia. Holm, last challenged for the Women's Featherweight crown in a hugely controversial and subsequent decision when she faced Utrecht native Germaine de Randamie. Previous losses to Muay Thai expert Valentina Shevchenko and Miesha Tate at UFC 196, put the future of 'The Preachers Daughter' in real danger. Bethe on the other, was unsuccessful in her pursuit of UFC gold, losing via KO to the once dominant Ronda Rousey in her hometown, and last time out, fought to a draw with Marion Reneau in Brazil.

Holm is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in Women's MMA history, with an incredible boxing background and multiple world titles to her name. Rocking the world with an impressive knockout of Rousey, Holly lost her title in her first title defence. Facing Miesha 'Cupcake' Tate at UFC 196, Holm dominanted for the entire bout, until a rear-naked choke attempt in the final round from Tate put the Jackson Wink MMA fighter to sleep. With a huge left high kick in her arsenal, expect Holm to set up her kicks through clever hands, and to utilise her 6" reach advantage and clever use of distance management agaisnt 'Pitbull'.

The grappling ability of Correia could certainly present a potential danger for Holm, with a black belt in BJJ, sitting comfortably in Bethe's repertoire. A purple sash in King Fu also belongs to the Campina Grande native, but I most definitely wouldn't call Correira a finisher of fights, with her only notable finish coming against Shayna Baszler. Despite her three consecutive losses, Holm in my opinion should really dominate Correia, and with a recent objective approach to her fight preparation, and a clever use of distance control, the finish may present itself for the Albuquerque, New Mexico star.

Holly Holm via knockout.
