Andrei Arlovski V Marcin Tybura: What will go down:

Can Andrei Arlovski end his current slide?
Belarus native Andrei 'The Pit Bull' Arlovski returns to the octagon this weekend in the co-main of UFC Fight Night Singapore, as the former Heavyweight champ takes on well rounded Polish star Marcin Tybura. Arlovski eager to bring a sudden end to a four fight slide, was convincing stopped by the feared Francis Ngannou in his last match, and the now severely weathered chin of Arlovski, may be once more tested against by 'Tybur' who has two knockout victories from his three octagon walks.

Now 38 years of age, Arlovski has been competing since 1999, amassing a respectable 25-14 professional record. With highlight wins over Tim Sylvia, Vladimir Matyushenko, Fabrício Werdum, Frank Mir and Paul Buentello, Arlovski in my opinion certainly deserves a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame after his retirement. Worryingly, Andrei has been KO'ed 10 separate times in his career, with Stipe Miocic, Alistair Overeem, the aforementioned Ngannou, Sergei Kharitonov and the great Fedor Emelianenko stopping the Belorussian. Despite his age, Arlovski is still quite capable of a knockout, recovering against Hawaii's Travis Browne to drop 'Hapa' in their memorable meeting.

Relatively new to the UFC limelight, Marvin Tybura made his octagon bow back in early 2016, losing to Anthony Hamilton, before stopping both Viktor Pešta and Luis Henrique, to enjoy a current two fight win streak. With 6 submission victories to his name, Tybura is a known to favour a rear-naked choke, with 4 separate RNC stoppages. It's not just the grappling aspect of Tybura's arsenal which will trouble Arlovski, but also the striking expertise aswell. 7 KO wins means Andrei could once more meet his demise in the form of a harrowing knockout.

I can't see this fight going the distance or in Arlovski's favour, with the younger and hungrier Tybura looking to make a stake with a win over a former divison king and the #8 ranked contender. If we do see yet another KO loss for 'The Pit Bull', I would hope that it would bring an end to his wonderful career, as the damage to the idol is beginning to pile up worryingly.

Marcin Tybura via knockout.
