Nick Diaz informed of potential Anti-Doping Policy violation by USADA:

Will we ever see Nick Diaz in a UFC octagon again?
Former WEC and Strikeforce Welterweight champion Nick Diaz has been notified by USADA of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation, as a result of three alleged Whereabouts Failures over the last 12 months. Despite his last octagon appearance coming against Anderson Silva in 2015 in an eventual no contest, Diaz is still employed by the UFC and is part of the roster, meaning he is also still registered to the USADA Testing Pool, and thus will see the Stockton favourite immediately suspended upon investigation.

As mentioned previously, Diaz hasn't fought since January 2015, where he welcomed Anderson Silva back to the octagon, but after the bout tested positive for marijuana, along with Silva who also seen his test sample contain the anabolic steroids, Drostanolone, Temazepem, Oxazepem and Androstane, resulting in the subsequent no contest. Diaz was reportedly offered the chance to face Michael Bisping, Tyron Woodley and Georges St-Pierre since his suspension had ended, but is believed to have rejected all three fight contracts. The January 2015 suspension was the third of Diaz's storied career, with all failed tests resulting from marijuana use, with his PRIDE FC debut and incredible  Gogoplata win over Takanori Gomi tarnished by a staggering 175 THC presence test result. Diaz was subsequently suspended for 6 months, but has constantly advocated that marijuana shouldn't be seen  as a performance enhancing drug, while Dr. Tony Alamo argued that the 175 THC presence made the grappler numb to pain and helped him win the bout against Gomi. After his loss to Carlos Condit in 2012, Diaz, upset with the decision announced his retirement from the sport, but a post fight drug test once more resulted in marijuana metabolites on show, resulting in a suspension until February, 2013.

The three Wherabouts Failures could relate to a fighters non compliance to update their whereabouts, to provide accurate information in order to be located to carry out a random test or not submitting a quarterly whereabouts filing to USADA before a deadline. It remains to be seen what the outcome of this situation will be, but so far, Diaz has been suspended once again, upon full investigation.
