Megan Anderson out, 'Cyborg' to face Tonya Evinger at UFC 214:

American Evinger is looking to add the UFC Featherweight title to her Invicta 135lbs crown.
Current Invicta FC Featherweight queen Megan Anderson has been forced from her Ultimate Fighting Championship debut at UFC 214 against Brazil's Cris 'Cyborg', due to personal issues. The Queensland native was scheduled to appear in the co-main event of the Anaheim card, where she would feature alongside Justino for the vacant Women's Featherweight title, but the news from the Aussie, has seen her replaced by current Invicta FC Bantamweight crown holder Tonya 'Triple Threat' Evinger.

Evinger is a hugely well rounded and successful star in the American promotion, holding the 135lbs title since summer 2015, defending twice since then. With submissions and knockout wins a plenty on her professional record, Missouri native Evinger may present the most exciting matchup 'Cyborg' has faced in recent years. At 34 years of age, Evinger has had some really impressive career displays to date and is unbeaten since 2011. Big wins for 'Triple Threat' came against current Invicta FC matchmaker Julie Kedzie, Irene Aldana, Colleen Schneider and last time out submitted Yana Kunitskaya. Since the recent reshuffling of the card, Evinger was slated to headline Invicta FC 24 against Featherweight challenger Helena Kolesnyk, but the July event will now feature a main event between former UFC Bantamweight Milana Dudieva and Mara Romero Borella. It remains to be seen if the UFC will continue to bolster their Women's Featherweight numbers though the signing of contenders from rival organisations, with both Anderson and Evinger so far joining 'Cyborg', Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie on the roster. It poses the question that we may see current Bellator Featherweight queen Julia Budd make the leap or American youngster Leah Letson sign up. It is believed that Anderson is eager to return to the octagon and face either Cris 'Cyborg' or Tonya Evinger for the undisputed Women's Featherweight title after her personal issues are dealt with.
