Niko Price vs. Muslim Salikhov Sealed for UFC Portland in April

An exciting welterweight pairing will feature at UFC Fight Night Lincoln in April.

A welterweight matchup that promises fireworks has been added to UFC Fight Night Portland on April 11th. as surging finisher, Niko 'The Hybrid' Price tackles his fellow division climber, Muslim 'The King Of Kung Fu' Salikhov.

Florida native, Price, recently returned to the win column, in his home state no-less, as he landed a highlight-reel opening round upkick knockout of former lightweight contender, James Vick. Dagestan born, Salikhov on the other hand - has embarked on a rather impressive three-fight win-streak as of late, lodging successful outing against Laureano Staropoli, Nordine Taleb, and Ricky Rainey after a promotional debut defeat to Alex Garcia back in 2017. News of the exciting welterweight pairing was first reported by ESPN staff writer, Brett Okamoto.

Despite his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, 30-year-old contender, Price, has managed an eye-catching ten victories via knockout. Since his first Octagon walk back in 2016, the Cape Coral native has managed victories over the likes of Brandon Thatch, Alan Jouban, Randy Brown, Tim Means, and the previously noted, James Vick.

35-year-old kickboxing ace, Salikhov - presents a monstrous challenge for the welterweight ranks - merely due to his well-traversed striking ability, The Makhachkala native only has four Octagon bouts under his belt, but has displayed some real eye-catching offensive striking nevertheless. Before his 2017 bow, Salikhov spent some considerable time competing on China's regional circuit, securing an impressive eleven fight win streak - which was concluded with a spinning hook kick knockout of UFC lightweight alumni, Melvin Guillard.
