Rhys McKee Fights For Vacant Cage Warriors Welterweight Title In Belfast

Exciting Northern Ireland prospect, Rhys 'Skeletor' McKee will compete for the recently vacated Cages Warriors welterweight championship on May 16th. in Belfast, per a press release from the promotion. Reigning champion, Ross Houston vacated the championship and has since been released by the promotion - as he begins negotiations to link-up with another major promotion.
McKee, has since gone 3-0 in the promotion since his move from BAMMA, lodging victories over Jefferson George, Perry Andre Goodwin, and in November, finished Hakan Foss via an opening-round knockout. As of yet, the promotion is yet to announce an opponent for McKee - who earns a shot at 170-pound on home soil.
Cage Warriors Belfast will take place from the SSE Arena on May 16th. and along with McKee, features a wide array of regional talent. Prospects, Ian Garry and Ciaran Mulholland also feature at the event, while there are slots for Decky McAleenan, Paul Hughes, and Joe McColgan at the event.
