#3 ranked UFC bantamweight contender, Aspen Ladd is set to make her return from catastrophic ACL and MCL tears on July 24th. at a UFC Fight Night event as she draws the #9 ranked The Ultimate Fighter 28 victor, Macy Chiasson. As of writing billing, a venue or location for the event has yet to be determined by the promotion.

Ladd, 26, has been out of action since UFC Fight Night D.C. back in December of 2019 where she rallied to take home a third-round knockout win over one-time featherweight title challenger, the #5 ranked, Yana Kunitskaya.

For former featherweight, Chiasson, she'll make her second Octagon outing of the year as she looks to increase her winning spree to three fights following a recent unanimous decision triumph over veteran contender, Marion Reneau. News of the matchup was first reported by ESPN MMA reporter, Brett Okamoto

Expected to return at UFC Vegas 4 last June, Ladd suffered a tear to both her ACL and MCL ahead of a high-stakes potential title-eliminator against former bantamweight title chaser, Olympic silver medalist, Sara McMann. The injury ruled Ladd from active competition for the remainder of 2020.

A former Invicta FC feature, Ladd has featured five times under the UFC's banner, scoring a 4-1 record. In her sole professional and organizational loss, the Folsom native suffered a quickfire knockout defeat to inaugural featherweight champion, Germaine de Randamie in a UFC Fight Night Sacramento main event back in July of 2019.

In notable career wins, the MMAGOLD trainee has scored victories against the likes of Amanda Cooper, Tonya Evinger, Lina Lansberg, Sijara Eubanks (x2), and the aforenoted, Kunitskaya.

29-year-old New Orleans-born contender, Chiasson immediately returned to the bantamweight ranks following her Ultimate Fighter 28 tournament win over Pannie Kianzad back in November of 2018.

With a 5-1 promotional resume, Chiasson has dropped just one career defeat as well; a unanimous decision loss to common opposition, Lansberg. With two knockouts and two further submission wins on her record, the eight-fight professional veteran has secured victories over the likes of Gina Mazany, Sarah Moras, Shanna Young, as well as the above-mentioned, Reneau.
