Report - Israel Adesanya vs. Marvin Vettori II Set For UFC 263 On June 12th.

A UFC middleweight title rematch between reigning champion, Israel 'The Last Stylebender' Adesanya and Marvin 'The Italian Dream' Vettori has been booked for UFC 263 on June 12th. -- with a location or venue for the event yet to be determined by the promotion.
Returning to the middleweight ranks for the first time since UFC 253 last September, Adesanya attempts to return to the winner's enclosure for the first time in his mixed martial arts career, following a UFC 259 light heavyweight title challenge loss to Jan Blachowicz.
The winner of five consecutively, Vettori most recently featured at UFC on ABC on April 10th. taking home a unanimous decision win over Kevin Holland on short notice. Vettori has managed to score five straight wins since a UFC Fight Night Glendale split judging loss to Adesanya in April of 2018. News of the middleweight title rematch was first reported by Combate reporter, Ana Hissa.
Attempting to move to 2-0 against Vettori, City Kickboxing staple, Adesanya has lodged two successful title defences since successfully unifying the middleweight titles against the #1 ranked, Robert Whittaker.
Headlining in his last two outings as middleweight champion, Adesanya took home a forgettable unanimous decision win over multiple-time title challenger, Yoel Romero at UFC 248 last March. On 'Fight Island' in September, Adesanya handed rival, Paulo Costa his first professional loss via a dominant eventual second round high-kick and strikes knockout.
Kings MMA mainstay, Vettori earned his title rematch against the Nigerian-Kiwi striker off the back of his unanimous judging win over Riverside native, Holland earlier this month.
Rebounding in eye-catching fashion off the back of his April 2018 defeat, Vettori notched successive wins over Cezar Ferreira, Andrew Sanchez, Karl Roberson, Jack Hermansson, and the above-mentioned, Holland.
UFC 263 takes place on June 12th. -- and also features a flyweight title rematch between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno off the back of their UFC 255 Fight of the Year last December, which was judged a majority draw.
