Former UFC lightweight and featherweight left his cordial January self in Abu Dhabi, UAE it appears -- with the Dubliner attempting to throw a kick toward UFC 264 opponent, Dustin Poirier at tonight's press conference ahead of their Saturday rubber match.

Immediately attempting to get under the skin of rival, Poirier, the Crumlin native threw two bottles of Poirier's Lousiana hot sauce into the audience, before throwing a cap at the Lafayette native as two security guards as well as UFC president, Dana White attempted to keep the two apart and coral McGregor.

Eventually taking their respective seats at McGregor circled in a bid to get near his Louisianan lightweight counterpart, the pair took questions from media members -- with McGregor interrupting on occasion to fire barbs at the #1 ranked Poirier -- claiming that he would "dance" on his head come Saturday night.

Former undisputed 155lbs champion, McGregor explained how he could see "stress" in the eyes of Poirier, whom he claimed was visibly struggling with the weight cut ahead of tomorrow's official weigh-ins, before explaining how he was already on target weight himself.

With both men setting sights on minted lightweight gold holder, Charles Oliveira after this weekend, the two noted their intentions to score a title fight against the promotion's most prolific submission artist before the close of the year.

Scoring what has been donned as the Line of the Night -- Poirier claimed that McGregor's training program, McGregor Fast should be renamed to McGregor Sleep following his January knockout loss on 'Fight Island' -- which drew no response from the visibly cagey Dubliner.

Reflecting on his January rematch loss, McGregor compared Poirier to former heavyweight champion, Buster Douglas who scored a massive upset knockout win over Mike Tyson -- calling the Louisiana native's stoppage victory, a "fluke".

Closing out the press event, Poirier and McGregor squared off front, and center, with the latter continuously barking barbs across to the former, before attempting to launch a kick at Poirier -- before being corralled.
