Caolan Loughran Improves To 4-0 With Unanimous Decision Win Over Hussein Abbas-Zade At LFL 2

Team Kaobon mainstay, Caolan 'The Don' Loughran has improved his undefeated professional record to 4-0 tonight at LFL 2 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands -- taking home a unanimous decision victory over grappling talent, Hussein 'The Scorpion' Abbas-Zade in a featherweight showdown.

Tyrone native, Loughran, who competed as an amateur under the Cage Warriors banner on the second installment of Cage Warriors Academy 2 Ireland was forced the distance for the first time in his professional career, having scored a pair of rear-naked choke victories to go alongside a debut knockout success previously.

Dealing with a laceration between the opening round, Loughran was cut from the striking of Abbas-Zade, but managed to maintain distance and put together the more eye-catching strikes. 

Avoiding a potential guillotine attempt from professional debutante, Abbas-Zade in the early goings of the third and final sanctioned frame, Loughran managed to land impactful strikes to take home what was largely a straightforward unanimous decision victory -- lodging his first win on the judge's scorecards in his professional career.

The Colin Heron product now boasts a 4-0 professional record following finishes over both Reece Streets and Will Cairns under the MTK MMA: Probellum banner back in September and November of 2019, respectively. 

Prior to tonight's unanimous judging display against Abbas-Zade -- Loughran had submitted the Spaniard, Daniel Lopez at Probellum 1 back in March of last year with a rear-naked choke success. 

In an interview with MMA Prospects leader, Shawn Bitter last September, Loughran claimed that he would follow in the footsteps paved by recent UFC 264 headliner and former two-weight champion, Conor McGregor and become a champion under the promotion's banner.

"I'm not good enough yet though," Loughran said. "The guys at the bottom, I'd smoke them/ But the top guys would probably take me. And it's important to be honest with yourself, I feel. I'm in the right place in (Team) Kaobon, and I keep the head down, outworking everyone, and I'll ger there in good time. If the level it takes to become bantamweight world champion is T.J. f*cking Dillashaw or someone like that, in the next 10, 11, or 12 years, I'll be Ireland's second world champion."
