Uriah Hall Believes His Style Is 'Perfectly Matched' For A Future Fight With Israel Adesanya

Ahead of his upcoming UFC Vegas 33 headliner this weekend against Sean Strickland, surging middleweight striker, Uriah Hall has noted his excitement regarding a potential future showdown against division kingpin, Israel Adesanya -- claiming that his style is "perfectly matched" to pose a threat to the City Kickboxing standout.

Undefeated in his last four straight fights, Hall, who is currently ranked as the #8 contender at middleweight, is set for his second Octagon walk of the year having taken home a first round TKO victory over former middleweight champion, Chris Weidman who suffered a fractured tibia and fibula just 18-seconds into their UFC 261 rematch in April.

Matching with the #11 rated, Strickland, Hall is tasked with snapping the North Carolina native's four fight undefeated run, with his last victory coming in the form of a unanimous decision triumph over Krzystof Jotko at UFC Vegas 25 in May. 

Appearing during a pre-fight media day ahead of his UFC Apex facility headliner on Saturday night, Spanish Town native, Hall explained how he was looking forward to a matchup with gold holder, Adesanya in the future -- claiming that his dynamic striking style is matched to that of the defending champion.

"I am looking forward to the champ (Israel Adesanya), man," Hall said. "I got nothing bad to say. I'm not here to start any BS. But I'm excited because, you know, he came onto the platform and he has an exciting style. I think my style is perfectly matched up for his (style). But, you know, you got to play the game. There are a few dudes ahead of me, so I've got to take them out and get to him. But he's the motivation because I like that style. I understand the style -- and again, nothing bad to say about him. He's a champ. He got to where he had to get to. He played the role. He did his job, and I just want a crack at it. That's it." (H/T MMA Junkie)

Lodging 13 knockout victories from a 17-9 professional record, Hall has bested the likes of Anderson Silva, Antonio Carlos Junior, Bevon Lewis, common-foe, Jotko, Gegard Mousasi, Thiago Santos, Chris Leben, and Aung La Nsang. 

In his last Octagon walk, Nigerian-Kiwi striker, Adesanya returned to the middleweight division with a second career win over Marvin Vettori to successfully defend his championship in the headlining tilt of UFC 263 in Glendale, Arizona. 

Set to remain at the middleweight ranks for his next outing following a sole Octagon outing at light heavyweight, Adesanya is largely expected to rematch former undisputed middleweight gold holder, Robert Whittaker in his next attempted title knockback.
