The co-headlining tilt for Bellator's return to the SSE Arena in London, England has been booked as surging featherweight, Leah 'The Curse' McCourt returns in a co-main event bout against two-fight promotional veteran, Jessica 'The Black' Window Borga on October 1.

Booked for her first outing since Bellator 259 back in May, promotional-perfect standout, McCourt battled with New Zealander, Janay Harding at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut -- lodging an impressive second round triangle victory midway through the frame, following a botched weigh-in attempt the day prior to the event. The victory came as McCourt's first since shoulder surgery as well as a bout with the novel coronavirus.

Borga, a two-fight veteran under the Scott Coker-led banner suffered her first defeat in Bellator back in April at Bellator 256 -- dropping a unanimous decision victory to Brazilian standout, Talita Nogueira. The promotion officially announced the pairing in a press release this afternoon.

Straight Blast Gym Charlestown mainstay, McCourt has enjoyed a splendid run of form and results to boot since her transition to the promotion following a two-fight stint with the Graham Boylan-led Cage Warriors promotion.

McCourt, 29, has featured four times in the Bellator banner, taking home four straight victories in the form of two stoppage wins over both Hatice Ozyurt, and Kerry Hughes, before a short notice headlining bout against Judith Reis back in February of last year at Bellator 240 -- lodging a unanimous decision victory at the 3Arena event in Dublin, Ireland.

Suffering a sole blemish, McCourt, a product of SBG Charlestown head coach, Owen Roddy, improved her professional record to 5-1 with her high-profile victory over the aforenoted, Harding. McCourt also holds a prior victory over now-UFC emerging contender, Manon Fiorot.

Lakeland, Florida featherweight, Borga got off to an impressive start under the Bellator banner back in September 2019 with a debut armbar victory over Amber Leibrock in the final 15-seconds of the opening round. From three professional triumphs, Borga has stopped two opponents via strikes.

McCourt and Borga will feature as the Bellator London co-headlining bout, with a high-stakes potential welterweight title-eliminator rematch between former champion, Douglas 'The Phenom' Lima, and striking ace, Michael 'Venom' Page slated to serve as the showcase's headlining tilt.
