Report - Joanne Calderwood, Alexa Grasso Meet At UFC Fight Night Event On November 20.

A flyweight matchup between the #6 ranked contender, Joanne Calderwood, and the #10 rated contender, Alexa Grasso has been added to a UFC Fight Night event on November 20th. -- with a location or venue for the event yet to be determined by the organization.
Set to feature for the third time this year, Scottish striker, Calderwood last featured opposite incoming flyweight title challenger, Lauren Murphy at UFC 263 in June -- suffering a close split decision defeat.
Undefeated in two outings since her climb to the flyweight division, Guadalajara puncher, Grasso last met with prospect, Maycee Barber at UFC 258 in February at the UFC Apex facility -- grabbing a unanimous decision victory. News of the matchup was first reported by ESPN MMA reporter, Brett Okamoto -- as well as the news of the penning of a new multi-fight deal for Calderwood.
The Ultimate Fighter 20 alum, Calderwood will make her 14. Octagon appearance when pitted with Grasso, having established a prior 7-6 promotional record.
The 34-year-old Syndicate MMA trainee has scored notable promotional victories against former Road FC atomweight champion and current Rizin FF super atomweight champion, Soo Hee Ham, as well as Cortney Casey, former KSW champion, Ariane Lipski, Andrea Lee, as well as former flyweight championship chaser, Jessica Eye, and former strawweight title hopeful, Valerie Letourneau.
For 27-year-old Jalisco-born striker, Grasso, the Lobo Gym trainee has managed to make good on her climb to the flyweight ranks following a cancelled strawweight showing against former title challenger, Claudia Gadelha in January of last year.
In her divisional bow, the former Invicta FC standout bested Ji Yeon Kim, following prior strawweight successes against one-time title challenger, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, as well as Randa Markos, Heather Jo Clark, Mizuki Inoue, and current Invicta FC flyweight champion, Karina Rodriguez.
