Following her announcement of her pregnancy yesterday, UFC bantamweight challenger, Yana Kunitskaya has insisted that she was not pregnant when she fought fellow contender, Irene Aldana at UFC 264 last month in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Just to make (things) clear!!!" Kunitskaya posted. "I didn't fought (sic) pregnant!!! in the left sight I am with my first son 2 months pregnant, there is right side 2nd. month pregnant. It's just how my body react (sic). All you (who) keep txting (sic) me, mind your own business."
Prior to her defeat against the puncher, Aldana, Kunitskaya again embarked on a two-fight winning spree -- besting both Julija Stoliarenko as well as Brazilian standout, Ketlen Vieira.
Posting on her official Instagram account yesterday night, Murmansk native, Kunitskaya, the fiancée of one-time UFC light heavyweight title challenger, Thiago Santos, confirmed that she was pregnant, as well as plans to return to active competition next year.
"Did I eat to (sic) much watermelon? Kunitskaya posted. "We wanted to keep it as a secret longer but my body can't lol I will be back in (the) Octagon (in) 2022. P.s @tmarretamma (Thiago Santos) good job lol."
Given the fact the Russian competed just a month ago at UFC 264 in a first round knockout loss to the aforenoted Guadalajara native, Aldana, speculation began to mount that the former Invicta FC bantamweight champion competed whilst pregnant. In response to those questions, Kunitskaya firmly dismissed them.

A seven-fight Octagon veteran, Kunitskaya debuted in the promotion back in March of 2018 in the main event of UFC 222 against the decorated, Cris Cyborg -- dropping a first round knockout loss in a featherweight title bout.
In two victories afterward, the Russian bested both Lina Lansberg and Marion Reneau before a third round knockout loss to Aspen Ladd at UFC Fight Night D.C. back in December 2019.
