A bantamweight matchup between former division champion, Miesha 'Cupcake' Tate and Brazilian finisher, Ketlen 'Fenomeno' has been booked to headline a UFC Fight Night event on October 16. -- with a location or venue for the event yet to be determined by the organization.

Booked to meet with former title challenger and past-foe, Sara McMann at UFC Vegas 35 next weekend, Manaus native, Vieira was subsequently removed from the bout and the entire card after McMann suffered an injury.

Snapping a five-year retirement back in July at UFC Vegas 31 -- former bantamweight champion, Tate made a comeback with a unanimous decision victory over the retiring, Marion Reneau. Combate reporter, Evy Rodrigues was first to report the news of Tate and Vieira's clash.

Snapping a two-fight skid in her return to the Octagon, Washington native, Tate called time on her professional career back in November of 2016 at UFC 205 -- dropping a unanimous decision defeat to former 135lbs title challenger, Raquel Pennington.

Prior to that outing, Tate headlined UFC 200 against current two-weight champion, Amanda Nunes -- dropping the bantamweight title in a first round rear-naked choke in July 2016.

In the co-headlining bout of UFC 196 in March 2016, Tate rallied with moments remaining in the fifth and final round to submit then-bantamweight champion, Holly Holm -- clinching undisputed gold and adding the UFC to prior Strikeforce bantamtweight spoils.

Throughout her storied professional career, Tate has bested the likes of Reneau, Holm, Jessica Eye, the aforenoted, McMann, Rin Nikai, Liz Carmouche, Julie Kedzie, Marloes Coenen, Hitomi Akano, and Jan Finney.

11-2 as a professional, Brazil native, Vieira last featured at UFC Vegas 19 in February where she dropped a unanimous judging loss to Yana Kunitskaya.

The pairing came as Vieira's first since an Octagon return against Sijara Eubanks where she rebounded from a first round knockout defeat against Irene Aldana back at UFC 244 in November 2019.

In four other UFC victories, Vieira has bested Cat Zingano, the above-mentioned, McMann, Ashlee Evans-Smith, and Kelly Faszholz.
