Report: Bethe Correia vs. Wu Yanan Slated For UFC Event on December 5th.

Despite her recent reported release from the UFC - former bantamweight title challenger, Bethe 'Pitbull' Correia will make one final Octagon appearance, in her final mixed martial arts outing ahead of retirement. On December 5th. at a Fight Night event, Correia will clash with division mover, Wu 'Mulan' Yanan - with a location and venue for the showing yet to be determined by the promotion.

Correia, 37, last featured at a 'Fight Island' event in July - dropping a unanimous decision loss to The Ultimate Fighter 28 finalist, Pannie 'Banzai' Kianzad. With the loss, Correia dropped to a 5-5-1 promotional record.

Also looking to rebound from a defeat - Yanan dropped a split judging loss to Mizuki Inoue at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen in August last year. The defeat marked Yanan's second blemish in three Octagon outings. News of Correia's retirement fight was initially reported by Ag Fight reporter, Diego Ribas.

Initially arriving in the promotion with a trio of victories over Julie Kedzie, Jessamyn Duke, and Shana Baszler - Correia would challenge Ronda Rousey for the undisputed bantamweight championship at UFC 190 on home soil in Brazil. Dropping her title challenge, Correia suffered a a knockout inside the opening forty-seconds of the first frame.

In wins since, Correia has managed to defeat the likes of recent flyweight title challenger, Jessica 'Evil' Eye, as well as TUF alum, Sijara 'Sarj' Eubanks. In defeats, the Paraíba native has dopped losses to Irene Aldana, former world champion, Holly Holm, and Raquel Pennington of note.

Scoring one Octagon outing per year since 2017 - Yanan has amassed a 1-2 promotional record since her debut at UFC Fight Night Shanghai in November three years ago. Dropping a loss to Gina Mazany, Yanan scored her first promotional triumph opposite Lauren Mueller at UFC Fight Night Beijing the following annum.
