Making the climb to featherweight, talented finisher, Brian 'The Pikeman' Moore looks set to make his first appearance under the Bellator banner in a whopping seventeen months - as he locks horns with Italian prospect, Simone 'The Tiger' D'Anna at Bellator 247 from the Allianz Cloud Arena in Milan, Italy.

Wexford native, Moore has suffered a slew of injuries during his time in active competition and in preparation for matchups, limiting him to just one appearance since May of last year. The 33-year-old returned to winning ways at Bellator Birmingham last year, scoring a unanimous judging victory over Son Le Binh.

Making his promotional return, 25-year-old 7-2 upstart, D'Anna is riding a three-fight winning streak, taking a first-round ground-and-pound knockout triumph over Martino Di Donna at Invictus Arena 26 in June of last year. News of the featherweight pairing was initially reported by Cageside Press reporter, Joe McDonagh.

An experienced submission and striking threat, Straight Blast Gym staple, Moore has competed under the Bellator banner since December 2016. Facing massive talent from the get-go, Moore was pitted opposite Daniel Weichel, undefeated contender, AJ McKee Jr. - as well as Noah Lahat. In victories in his four year Bellator stint - Moore notched wins opposite Michal Hořejší, and Giorgio Belsanti - to go with his judging win over Le Binh last year.

Featuring just once under the Bellator banner before, D'Anna suffered a six-second head kick knockout against Michele Martignoni at Bellator 203 in July of 2018. Featuring under Venator FC and Invictus Arena scrutiny since, the Italian has scored three consecutive wins over Giovanni Garofalo, Damiano Fogliata, and the above noted, Di Donna.
