A welterweight matchup between knockout ace, Paul 'Semtex' Daley, and well-rounded finisher, Derek 'The Barbaric' Anderson will take headlining honours at Bellator 247 in Milan, Italy on October 1st.
Veteran former Cage Rage titleholder, Daley will make his first appearance under the Bellator banner following his short-notice knockout win over Saad Awad at Bellator 232 last October. The win served as Daley's second straight.
Also riding a two-fight rise, 30-year-old San Diego native, Anderson will look to add Daley to a winning run which includes both Guilherme Bomba, and Zak Bucia.
Former UFC 170-pound contender, Daley, will look to amass three consecutive victories for the first time in his storied career since 2015. The 37-year-old Nottingham native featured in a welterweight title eliminator opposite future champion Rory MacDonald back at Bellator 179, dropping a rear-naked choke loss. A renowned striker with one-punch stopping power, Daley has flattened a staggering thirty-one opponents, including the likes of Brennan Ward, Lorenz Larkin, Rudy Bears, Scott Smith, Martin Kampmann, Duane Ludwig, and Daniel Weichel to name a few.
Knockout and submission threat, Anderson will look to continue his eye-catching form, and secure a third straight win for the first time in his seven-year Bellator stint. Adding the above mentioned, Bomba and Bucia to a now 16-3 record, Anderson has bested the likes of Patricky 'Pitbull' Freire (x2), Brandon Girtz, as well as common-foe, Awad.
