A massive lightweight pairing between streaking division top-fifteen contenders, Diego Ferreira, and Drew Dober is in the works to feature at a UFC Fight Night event on November 7th. - with a location and venue for the showcase yet to be determined by the promotion.

Most recently featuring at UFC 246 in January, streaking grappling ace, Ferreira scored an eye-catching rear-naked choke victory over former WEC and UFC lightweight titleholder, Anthony 'Showtime' Pettis. The victory improved the Brazilian's winning run to six-fights.

With three consecutive knockouts, Elevation Fight Team mainstay, Dober also featured at UFC 246 at the beginning of the year, scoring a quickfire knockout over Nasrat Haqparast, before a second-round stoppage win over Alexander Hernandez at UFC Fight Night Jacksonville in May. News of the earmarked lightweight scrap was initially penned by ESPN MMA reporter, Brett Okamoto.

Prior to his submission success opposite Pettis, Fortis MMA staple, Ferreira had scored five straight successes against Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Jared Gordon, Kyle Nelson, Rustam Khabilov, and Mairbek Taisumov. In his six-year Octagon stint, Ferreira has only faltered against fellow grappling ace, Beneil Dariush, and former interim titleholder, Dustin 'The Diamond' Poirier.

31-year-old Nebraska native, Dober began his above-mentioned winning streak with a knockout victory over Marco Polo Reyes. Opposite common foe, Dariush - Dober also dropped a result, via an arm-triangle loss. The former welterweight challenger has managed other UFC wins over Frank Camacho, Josh Burkman, and Jon Tuck to name a few.
