Devastating elbow from Perry stops Ellenberger:

Mike Perry once again displays scary power:
Exciting Welterweights Jake 'The Juggernaut' Ellenberger and Mike Platinum' Perry got us underway on the main card of UFC Fight Night Nashville, with a top 10 spot surely awaiting the victor. Ellenberger, a wrestler by trait who can also crack, has his work cut out against rising star Perry who exploded onto the UFC scene with two KO wins, before Alan Jouban momentarily derailed the hype train. With three rounds scheduled for this 170lbs bout, I wouldn't expect to see the full 15 minutes between these two power punchers.

Referee Josh Ward got us started in the first round with a jumping front kick early from Perry, before Ellenberger capitalised and scored and early takedown right from the blocks. A teep kept Jake at bay with the elder going close with a looping right hand. Perry was holding his own so far, dominating the octagon forcing Ellenberger backwards. A good solid knee landed for Perry as they engaged in the clinch. Perry was certainly the more active and volume striker so far, with Ellenberger displaying that body kick that stopped Matt Brown, but Perry stood firm. Good but even first round.

A good left hand followed by an uppercut landed clean for Ellenberger at the beginning of the second,  before a huge shot from Perry dropped Ellenberger, who momentarily rose back to his feet, only to be met with a monstrous elbow in close, rendering Ellenberger unconscious.
